Welcome and thanks for visiting and your interest. All comment, feedback and discussion are welcome and appreciated. I do try to respond to all personally, so be patient if you comment and don’t receive an immediate reply.
What’s an Indie Author? Not very complicated really. An Indie (Independent) Author is one who writes and publishes his/her books without benefit of a literary agent or one of the known publishing houses. This is somewhat different than a self published author who pays a “vanity press” publisher (one who will publish your manuscript for a fee) to edit, design and print their book.
As an independent, I and my thousands of colleagues in the writing community, work hard to create and then market our books to you…the readers. We are grateful for each and every reader who finds and enjoys our books
If you are not familiar with independent authors and their works, you might be astonished at how many there are and the quality of their work. Literally, thousands publish their work independently on Amazon and through other retailers such as Barnes and Nobel’s Nook Press, Kobo, Lulu, Smashwords, I-Books, Google, etc. Granted, not all are at the same level, but many are excellent writers who have made the choice to work and create independently.
As an Indie writer, this is what I do. If you enjoy my work…great! Spread the word!
And a review is always appreciated. Reviews drive sales and sales allow me and my wife to do simple things…you know…eat…drive a car…go camping or fishing…the stuff normal people do. Well, at least, we think of ourselves as normal.
Again, thanks much for taking the time to visit and to share in my work. If a story made you smile, or laugh, or cry or tremble deliciously in fear for a few minutes I am happy and I hope you are too.
Oh yes, the dreaded sales pitch – You can check out my books on the pages that have their titles here on the website (huh, imagine that). You might find something you like. If not, we’re still web friends (that sounds so weird), but you’re buying the beers.
